Honoring Retirements and New Leadership at GDC & PGC

On April 7, 2025, a dignified ceremony was held at Government Degree College & Post Graduate Center to formally announce the retirement of the college’s Principal, Professor Muhammad Hanif Durrani, and senior faculty member, Professor Inam-ul-Haq Abbasi. Their long-standing academic and administrative services were warmly acknowledged and appreciated. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Professor Nasir Iqbal, Regional Director Colleges, Hyderabad Region. In his heartfelt address, he praised the retiring professors, highlighting Professor Durrani's leadership, discipline, and passion for teaching, and recognized Professor Abbasi’s scholarly contributions and dedication to education as a valuable asset to the institution. Faculty members and esteemed guests presented the professors with flower garlands, bouquets, and shields as tokens of appreciation. The speakers paid tribute to their contributions, expressed good wishes, and prayed for a happy and successful new chapter in their lives. During the same ceremony, Professor Mehboob Ali was appointed as the In-charge Principal of the college. He was also honored by fellow faculty members with flower garlands, bouquets, and expressions of goodwill. The ceremony was a heartfelt reflection of emotions, sincerity, and mutual respect within the academic community, further strengthening the positive traditions of the institution.
